Who can take part
- You are 65 or older, and you can read and understand the consent form
- Your MRI (done within 9 months of starting the study) shows a large full-thickness rotator cuff tear: at least 5 cm and involving 2+ tendons
- Your deltoid muscle works (it can lift the arm) and your shoulder can still move passively (it’s not stuck)
- Your shoulder pain is severe (VAS pain score over 30 mm) and you tried non-surgical treatments for at least 3 months
- You are generally healthy enough for surgery and can attend follow-up visits and do required check-ins
