Who can take part
- You have a large, irreparable tear in two rotator cuff tendons (supraspinatus and infraspinatus), but not the subscapularis tendon.
- Your upper arm bone (humeral head) is still centered in the joint on X-ray.
- Your main problem is pain, not weakness or stiffness.
- You've had at least one prior shoulder surgery, including a failed rotator cuff repair.
- You are 65 years or older (the balloon spacer device is FDA cleared for patients over 65).
