Who can take part
- You are age 70 or older
- Your MRI and exam show a full-thickness rotator cuff tear larger than 2 cm (or involving more than one full tendon)
- Your shoulder pain/stiffness has not improved after at least 3 months of physical therapy
- Your MRI suggests your torn tendon can be partially or fully repaired
- Your shoulder joint does not have significant arthritis (Hamada score under 3)
- No cancer is present at the shoulder area
