Finding the cause of chronic endometritis in IVF patients

Endometritis; ChronicSubfertility

Part of Immune system & allergy, Lungs & breathing, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This study looks for a possible infection-related cause of chronic endometritis (a long-lasting inflammation inside the uterus) in people preparing for IVF/ICSI, to help find the best treatment. It involves a diagnostic hysteroscopy and may help doctors choose the most effective steps to improve pregnancy chances.

Hysteroscopy for chronic endometritis diagnosis

This trial studies how well hysteroscopy (a camera exam of the womb) can detect chronic endometritis (a long-term womb lining infection) by looking at a small tissue sample. It may help women with repeated IVF failure or pregnancy loss understand if inflammation is a cause.

NCT07603492Recruiting
Antibiotics for chronic endometritis and fertility

This study tests whether antibiotics can improve fertility in women with chronic endometritis—a long-term inflammation of the uterine lining that may prevent pregnancy. You would have a uterine biopsy to confirm the condition, receive antibiotic treatment, and be monitored to see if you become pregnant.

NCT07606053Enrolling by invitation
Endometrial Microbiota and IVF Success

This study examines whether the bacteria living in the uterine lining (endometrium) affect whether embryos implant and pregnancies continue after IVF. Researchers will collect tissue samples and study your microbiota—the community of microorganisms in your body—to help explain repeated implantation failures or miscarriages.

Study causes of chronic uterine lining inflammation in infertility

This study looks at possible “background causes” of chronic inflammation of the uterus lining in women who struggle to get pregnant or have repeated miscarriages. It may help doctors better understand what factors contribute to infertility so care can be more targeted.
