- You are willing and able to sign informed consent before any study steps

- You have a BMI above 30, or above 27 if you also have prediabetes
- You should not have certain serious health problems (like significant heart disease, severe kidney or liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, or COPD)
- You should not have had cancer in the past 5 years, bariatric (stomach) surgery, or pancreatitis of unknown cause
- If you can become pregnant, you must use effective birth control; you cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
