Who can take part

  • You are a child with kaposiform hemangioendothelioma (KHE) and will be treated with sirolimus, or you are a healthy child for the comparison group
  • You will receive vaccines in the planned schedule, based on lab check results and a doctor’s advice
  • Vaccines may include either live vaccines or inactivated (killed) vaccines, given at the right times
  • No current serious infection at the time of blood testing (and not hepatitis B markers like HBsAg/HBeAg positive)
  • You do not have a history of immune problems or low immunoglobulin (immune protein) levels
  • You can and will agree to take part (informed consent not withdrawn)
