Who can take part
- You have colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver, with up to 5 liver spots for treatment (each up to 5 cm).
- The imaging before the procedure shows the doctor can safely cover each tumor with at least a 5 mm treatment “buffer.”
- The tumor(s) are more than 1 cm away from the central bile ducts (large bile pathways).
- You can safely receive iodine contrast dye for CT imaging (kidney function: GFR over 40) and you don’t have severe iodine contrast allergies.
- Your blood tests and health are safe for the procedure: platelets at least 50,000, INR 1.5 or less, and any bleeding/clotting problems are correctable.
- You are an adult (18+), can give written consent, and are expected to live more than 12 months. You can have treatment participation with an ECOG health score of 0–2.
