Who can take part
- Be 18 years or older.
- Have a diagnosis of higher-risk MDS or CMML (either after relapse/progression or “HMA-naïve” high-risk forms, depending on the study group).
- Have an overall health/activity level score (ECOG) of 0 to 2.
- Kidney function must be good enough (creatinine clearance > 30 mL/min) and not have end-stage kidney disease.
- Have heart and infection that are stable (no uncontrolled infection; heart strength must be adequate—avoid serious heart failure or low pumping ability).
- Not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and use required birth control during the study if you could become pregnant (and have a negative pregnancy test if applicable).
