Who can take part
- You are 18 or older and have one of these: FLT3-mutated AML, CMML, or a higher-risk MDS/MPN type
- Your cancer type is either relapsed/refractory (comes back/doesn’t respond) or newly diagnosed (depending on the trial group), and is in an intermediate-2 or high-risk category
- Your lab tests show an FLT3 mutation: either FLT3-ITD or a FLT3 D835 change
- Your general health is able to handle treatment (ECOG performance status 3 or better)
- Your blood and organ tests are adequate: bilirubin not too high, liver enzymes not too high, and kidney function (creatinine clearance) at least 30 mL/min
- You can swallow the study medicines and you are willing to sign informed consent
