Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are scheduled to have a catheter-based ablation for ventricular tachycardia (a fast abnormal heart rhythm).
  • You are not pregnant (or you can confirm you are not).
  • You do not have a contraindication (a medical reason that would make it unsafe) to either the nerve block/stimulation used in this study or to ventricular tachycardia ablation.
  • You do not have a history of allergy (hypersensitivity) to local anesthetic medicines of the “amide” type.
  • Your heart/blood pressure are stable during the procedure before the study part begins.
