- You must be age 18 or older.
- Your care team thinks you have an acute (new or worsening) health problem that could become dangerous without close monitoring.
- You may be monitored at home instead of staying in the hospital, or while you are in the hospital, or before/after elective major surgery (surgery over 1 hour under general or regional anesthesia).
- You must be willing and able to cooperate with the study procedures.
- You cannot have an allergy to plaster or silicone.
- You cannot have a pacemaker or an implantable defibrillator (ICD).
- You must be able to give informed consent (or otherwise participate only if you can consent).
