Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and can sign consent before any study testing.
  • Your knee pain has lasted more than 12 months and is at least moderate to severe (pain score over 4/10 on most days or with movement).
  • You have tried standard treatments for at least 12 months but they did not help enough, including exercise/physiotherapy, pain medicines, and a steroid injection into the knee.
  • If your knee pain is from osteoarthritis, you must have an X-ray or MRI within the last year showing mild to severe arthritis (grade 2–4).
  • If your pain is after knee replacement surgery, you must have had an orthopedic (bone/joint) check that found no clear problem causing the pain.
