Who can take part

  • You’re between 18 and 80 years old.
  • Your imaging or biopsy suggests high-risk GIST, and you haven’t had any cancer treatment before surgery (no chemo, radiation, or pre-surgery surgery).
  • Your organs like liver and kidneys work well enough to safely have targeted treatment and surgery.
  • After surgery, the pathology confirms it is high-risk GIST (not non–high-risk).
  • You can have surgery with complete removal (an “R0 resection”), and you don’t have distant metastasis.
  • You understand the study and your consent can be signed by you (and your family).
