Pre-surgery radiation, then mastectomy and immediate breast reconstruction

Breast CancerInvasive Breast Cancer

Part of Cancer, Skin clinical trials.

This Phase 1 study looks at giving radiation before surgery for people with locally advanced breast cancer, then performing a mastectomy and immediate reconstruction. It aims to see whether this combined approach can shrink the cancer before surgery and safely allow reconstruction afterward.

NCT05216900Recruiting
Breast reconstruction with radiation given before surgery

This study looks at how breast reconstruction works when radiation is planned around the time of surgery, including in some people before surgery depending on lymph node results. It may help improve safety and outcomes for people needing mastectomy and chest/radiation therapy.

Bilthoven, Utrecht
NCT04261244Recruiting· Phase 3
Neoadjuvant radiation study for one-sided breast cancer

This Phase 3 study tests a specific plan that combines chemotherapy (and sometimes targeted medicines) with radiation before surgery for one breast. It may help shrink breast cancer and improve treatment timing, based on how well tumors respond.

Ahaus
NCT05992870Recruiting
Radiation before breast reconstruction with implants

This trial tests giving radiation therapy before surgery and immediate breast reconstruction using implants. It may help patients who need a mastectomy and know they will need radiation after.

Wuhan, Hubei
NCT05866458Recruiting
Radiation after lumpectomy for node-negative breast cancer

This trial studies whether a specific radiation approach after lumpectomy can be helpful for certain people with early breast cancer that did not spread to lymph nodes at diagnosis. It focuses on people who finish neoadjuvant (before-surgery) treatment and reach a full response on final pathology.

Cudgen, Cudgen
NCT06817954Recruiting
Breast reconstruction after mastectomy for breast cancer

This trial tests how safe and effective it is to remove the breast (mastectomy) and rebuild it right away during the same surgery. It is for women with early-stage breast cancer who want reconstruction instead of breast-sparing surgery.

Nanjing, Jiangsu
NCT05774678Recruiting· Phase 3
Pre-surgery radiation options for invasive breast cancer

This trial compares two schedules of radiation given before mastectomy to see which works better for invasive breast cancer, followed by immediate breast reconstruction. It also studies tiny “biomarker” signals in tissue to learn why one radiation approach may help more.
