Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old (or the patient is the adult who will receive the transplant)
  • Your cancer or blood disorder is in complete remission
  • Semen tests (from used sperm attempts) show there aren’t usable sperm, based on two tests
  • Your blood tests before surgery are within normal limits
  • Your frozen tissue test suggests there are stem cells that can help make sperm (or your case is reviewed if not)
  • Your doctors consider the chance of cancer cells inside the frozen tissue to be very low, and you can agree in writing to follow-up
