- You are currently a patient at the University of Pittsburgh Periodontics Department
- You are generally healthy (no major medical conditions that slow healing)
- Your mouth health is relatively controlled: gum bleeding and plaque stay at or below 30%
- You have implant-area problems: deep implant pocketing, bleeding/sometimes pus, and bone damage seen on scans
- You must be willing to come back for multiple study visits over about a year
