Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have at least one dental implant that is severely infected (deep pockets, bleeding or pus, and bone loss shown on X-ray).
  • The implant has been in place for at least 12 months.
  • You do not have uncontrolled diabetes or other diseases that could affect healing.
  • You do not smoke more than 10 cigarettes a day.
  • You are not pregnant or nursing.
