Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have musculoskeletal pain for less than 12 weeks or longer than 12 weeks (neck, back, shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, or ankle)
  • If you recently had musculoskeletal surgery, get surgeon permission to start a physical therapy program
  • Be able to understand the study and sign informed consent
  • Be medically able to do at least 20 minutes of light-to-moderate exercise (or be cleared by your doctor)
  • Avoid participation if you have certain major health issues, new rapidly worsening nerve symptoms, active cancer treatment, recent major injury, or very recent surgery without medical clearance
