If you qualify, your blood may be used to help researchers find better ways to understand and track suicidality and depression treatment response.

Who can take part
- You (or a parent/guardian if you’re under 18) can give informed consent
- You must be physically healthy enough for blood testing
- If you’re in the depression group, you have a confirmed DSM-5 diagnosis of major depression
- If you’re in the suicide-ideas group, you have recent suicidal thoughts measured by C-SSRS (score 4+ in the last 2 weeks)
- If you’re in the suicide-attempt group, you attempted suicide in the last 2 weeks and it required medical attention with at least medium intent
- You cannot be pregnant, recently postpartum (within 2 months), or lactating
