Taking furmonertinib after lung surgery for high-risk EGFR cancer

Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Treatments studied

Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This Phase 2 trial studies whether furmonertinib can lower the risk of lung cancer coming back after surgery in certain early-stage lung cancers. You must have EGFR mutations and specific higher-risk features seen on the tumor’s pathology.

Who can take part

  • You had lung cancer surgery (removal of the tumor) with no prior cancer treatments like chemo, radiation, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy
  • Your diagnosis is non-small cell lung cancer confirmed by at least two pathologists
  • Your cancer is early stage: stage IA with high-risk pathology features, or stage IB (with or without high-risk features)
  • Your tumor has an EGFR mutation (from a defined list) tested on tumor tissue using genetic testing
  • You are healthy enough for treatment (ECOG 0–1) and your blood and organ tests are adequate
  • You can take the study drug as required and agree in writing to report side effects

Furmonertinib after surgery for EGFR 20 insertion lung cancer

This trial tests a targeted pill (furmonertinib) to prevent your lung cancer from coming back after surgery. It is for people with a certain genetic change in their tumor (EGFR exon 20 insertion) and stage IB, II, or IIIA disease.

Furmonertinib before surgery for EGFR-mutant lung cancer

This trial tests whether taking furmonertinib before surgery can help shrink tumors in people with early-stage EGFR-mutant lung cancer. It aims to improve surgical outcomes and long-term results.

NCT05334277Recruiting· Phase 2
Test furmonertinib for advanced EGFR-mutant lung cancer

This Phase 2 trial studies furmonertinib alone or with other treatment options to control advanced lung cancer that has specific EGFR gene changes. It may help by targeting the cancer-driving EGFR mutation, especially in people whose mutation is confirmed by a ctDNA blood test.

NCT06652048Recruiting· Phase 2
High-dose Furmonertinib for advanced lung cancer after progression

This trial tests a higher dose of the targeted therapy Furmonertinib, either alone or with chemotherapy, for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has progressed after initial treatment with a third-generation EGFR inhibitor like Osimertinib or Almonertinib.

NCT05379803Recruiting· Phase 2
High-dose furmonertinib for lung cancer with brain metastases

This trial tests a high-dose targeted pill, furmonertinib, in people with EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to the brain. It aims to better control both the lung cancer and the brain metastases by targeting a specific gene change.

NCT06394674Recruiting· Phase 2
High-dose furmonertinib for lung cancer after osimertinib stops working

This trial tests a higher dose of a targeted therapy called furmonertinib for people with advanced lung cancer that has stopped responding to a previous drug called osimertinib. It may help if you have a certain EGFR mutation and your cancer has grown outside the brain.
