Who can take part
- Be an adult older than 20 years old
- Have major trauma with an injury severity score of 9 or higher
- Be admitted to the ICU for your injuries
- You must not have chronic (long-term) liver disease
- You must be able to receive nutrition through the gut/enteral feeding plan
- You should not have high blood calcium (hypercalcemia) or a high risk of it
- You must not currently take vitamin D, estrogen, or medicines for bone disease
