Who can take part
- You are age 18 or older.
- You were admitted to the ICU within the last 24 hours.
- Your blood vitamin D level (25(OH)D) is below 20 ng/mL, measured within 24 hours of ICU admission.
- Your ICU stay is expected to be at least 72 hours.
- You are not pregnant, and you can communicate as a non-native language patient (this study is for non-native-speaking patients only excluded).
