Diabetes monitoring support for African youth with type 1

This study helps children and young adults with type 1 diabetes in Uganda improve how their diabetes is tracked, likely by using an additional monitoring sensor. If you join, you’ll be asked to attend regular pediatric diabetes clinic visits and use the study monitoring device for part of the start period.

  • Be in Uganda and between ages 4 to 26 at the start of the study
  • Have type 1 diabetes for at least 12 months
  • Be using insulin therapy
  • Have access to a cell phone

  • Not already use a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) device
