Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with dry AMD at an early or intermediate stage (based on retinal photos).
  • Your eye test photos show small-to-medium drusen (early) or larger drusen (intermediate).
  • You must be willing to stop omega-3 fatty acids, choline, and astaxanthin supplements before joining.
  • You must be able to attend follow-up visits for at least 3 months and be willing to sign consent.
  • You can’t have certain other eye problems, like wet AMD (choroidal neovascularization) or geographic atrophy, or high myopia.
  • You should not have had cataract surgery in the last 3 months, and your eye pressure must be 26 mmHg or lower.
