This study looks at lung function in people with early COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) to understand what happens over time. If you meet the lung test and health requirements, you may be able to help researchers learn how to better track and manage early COPD.

Who can take part

  • You are between 35 and 75 years old
  • You have COPD test results: FEV1/FVC less than 0.8 after using an inhaler
  • Your FEV1 is at least 80% of the expected value for your age
  • You do not have other lung conditions (such as lung cancer, bronchiectasis, or certain lung scarring) that could change test results
  • Your BMI is 35 or less
  • You are not pregnant and you can safely do the lung function test
