Who can take part

  • You are 40 to 75 years old.
  • You have a smoking history of at least 20 pack-years.
  • You have not been diagnosed with COPD or asthma.
  • Your breathing test shows no airflow blockage (FEV1/FVC is 0.7 or higher).
  • You can do the study exercise (walk briskly, run on a treadmill, or pedal).
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
