Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You had a minimally invasive esophagus surgery using laparoscopy plus chest work (thoracoscopy) or robotic-assisted surgery
  • You can give informed consent to join the study
  • You have not had gallbladder inflammation or kidney stones in the last 3 months
  • You have not had recent major artery/heart problems like stroke, heart attack, or peripheral artery disease
  • Your lung and heart status are stable enough for surgery (no serious lung disease; heart function grade not too high)
