Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older.
  • You have ongoing symptoms from a leaking mitral valve caused by heart muscle weakness (not from “degenerative” valve damage).
  • You have been on the best recommended heart medicines for at least 30 days, and you still have symptoms.
  • Your heart pumping strength and size are within limits (ejection fraction at least 20%, and LVESD 70 mm or less).
  • Your valve and blood-vessel access are suitable for a catheter procedure from the groin (femoral vein) with a safe path through the heart.
  • You can have the required heart scans/tests and are able to consent and follow the study plan.
