Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • Your heart failure symptoms are in NYHA Class II, III, or IV (moderate to severe symptoms)
  • You have a significant mitral valve leakage (FMR) or a specific mitral valve problem on ultrasound (DMR) in the study’s defined ranges
  • Your heart ultrasound and doctors confirm there is no clot, tumor, or infection on the heart valve (no thrombus/vegetation)
  • You can safely have a catheter put in through a vein and access the heart from the side of the heart (transseptal approach) and you have the right anatomy for a large catheter
