Gene-silencing medicine trial for adults with MASH and liver scarring
Part of Digestive system clinical trials.
This Phase 2 study tests a gene-silencing treatment to improve chronic liver disease called MASH, especially in people with certain genetic risk. You may be eligible if you have MASH with moderate-to-advanced scarring and specific test results, and if other liver causes and recent substance/alcohol issues don’t apply.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You are an adult (at least 18 years old).
- You have MASH with fibrosis stage 2 or 3 based on a standard liver scoring method called NASH-CRN.
- Your liver scan/lab scoring meets the study’s required NAS score (at least 3).
- Your genetic test matches the study’s allowed genotype requirements (specific “risk genes”).
- Your FibroScan-AST (FAST) score is in the required range at screening or within about 12 weeks of screening.
- You do not have other known chronic liver diseases (as defined by the study).

This trial tests an experimental gene therapy (VV-14303) given as a single injection into the muscle to treat MASH, a common type of fatty liver disease with inflammation. The study will check if the treatment is safe and helps improve liver health.
This study tests a new drug called ALN-CIDEB for adults with MASH (a type of liver disease linked to metabolic health issues like obesity and diabetes). The drug aims to slow or reverse liver scarring (fibrosis) in people with moderate damage.
This trial tests two new injections (HRS-4729 and HRS-9531) for people with MASH, a type of fatty liver disease. The study aims to see if these drugs can help reduce liver fat and improve liver health.
This trial tests an investigational drug called survodutide for people with NASH or MASH, a type of fatty liver disease that also has liver scarring (moderate or advanced fibrosis). The goal is to see if the drug can improve the condition.
This trial tests an investigational drug called IBI362 for people with MASH, a type of fatty liver disease that has caused liver scarring (stage F2 or F3). The study aims to see if the drug can improve the liver's health.
This trial tests a new drug, IMM-H014, for a liver condition called MASH (metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis). It looks at how well people tolerate the drug and how it works in the body. This might help if you have fat buildup in your liver along with other health issues like high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol.
