Who can take part

  • Age 18–75 years old
  • Type 2 diabetes OR at least one of: obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or high fasting blood sugar
  • Moderate liver scarring (fibrosis stage 2–3), confirmed by biopsy or liver stiffness measurement
  • More than 10% fat in your liver, measured by a special MRI scan
  • If taking weight-loss, blood-sugar, or cholesterol medications, you must have been on a stable dose for 3+ months
  • Stable body weight (within 5% change) for the 2 months before screening
