Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with tuberculosis (lungs or other body areas).
  • You are starting tuberculosis treatment for the first time or it has just started.
  • Your diagnosis is supported by tests (like microscope test, GeneXpert, or culture) and/or strong doctor suspicion.
  • A doctor has decided you should begin tuberculosis medicines.
  • You are not already on tuberculosis treatment for more than 7 days at the time you join.
  • You are willing to take part, and you are not in another research study at the same time.
