If you have these “total occlusions” and symptoms like walking pain or critical limb symptoms, this study may offer a new way to open the artery and restore blood flow.

Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are scheduled for a procedure to treat a new (de-novo) blockage in the native leg artery: either infrainguinal (CaTO-PAD) or below-the-knee arteries (CaTO-BTK).
- You have at least one chronic total blockage where there is little/no flow beyond the blockage except for blood coming from collateral branches.
- Your symptoms in the target leg match the study’s category (clove walking-limiting pain or critical limb symptoms).
- Your target blockage has moderate-to-severe calcium and has NOT opened with a standard guidewire attempt (a guidewire “failed” to cross).
