Who can take part
- You have rectal cancer proven by pathology, and it must be cT3+ and N+ with no distant spread (M0).
- Your tumor testing shows microsatellite stable (MSS) and “pMMR” (mismatch repair normal).
- The cancer is new or has come back, but you must not have had chemo, targeted therapy, immunotherapy in the last month, or radiation in the last year for the recurrence.
- Imaging shows no distant metastases, and you have measurable disease you haven’t treated locally yet.
- Your body must be well enough for treatment: good blood counts, adequate kidney/liver function, and no major uncontrolled health problems.
