Hypophosphatasia

Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have had low alkaline phosphatase (below 40 IU/L) on at least 3 separate blood tests OR have a low value plus an ALPL gene variant
  • Have at least one rheumatology symptom (for example, joint or muscle-related symptoms)
  • Have your low alkaline phosphatase confirmed appropriately (to avoid temporary/false lows)
  • Not have low alkaline phosphatase caused by another known reason (like certain medicines, hormone/endocrine diseases, or other genetic conditions)
