This study tests whether letrozole, a hormone-blocking medicine, can help people with newly diagnosed low-grade serous ovarian cancer that has hormone receptor proteins (ER and/or PgR) after surgery. It compares outcomes to see if blocking estrogen can slow the cancer’s return or progression.

Who can take part

  • You’re age 18 or older with newly diagnosed low-grade serous ovarian (or fallopian tube or peritoneal) cancer
  • Your tumor test shows at least 10% ER and/or PgR positive (this is checked by a central lab)
  • You already had upfront surgery to remove as much tumor as possible, with stage III–IV disease
  • You are post-menopausal and can take pills by mouth
  • You can start the study within 60 days after your main surgery and your body is strong enough for treatment (blood tests and heart/blood health criteria)
