  • You are age 20 to 80
  • You are having planned (elective) brain surgery (craniotomy) under general anesthesia
  • You are in ASA class I to III (a measure of overall health; not the same as cancer stage)
  • You do not have severe mental health problems that would prevent following study steps
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You must not have had an allergy to any study medicines or key anesthetic drugs
