Spinal surgery patients tracked for daily activity after surgery

Who can take part

  • You have an age-related (degenerative) problem causing a spinal deformity in the mid-to-lower back
  • You have surgery planned to correct the deformity
  • Your surgery plan includes fusing at least 4 spinal levels
  • The surgery includes hardware that is fixed to the pelvis
  • Your surgery is with Dr. Elder or Dr. Fogelson
  • You are able to come back to Mayo Clinic for follow-up checkups
