Beetroot juice study for circulation problems in leg arteries

Peripheral Artery Disease

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests whether drinking beetroot juice can improve how well people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) can function and walk. It’s looking at circulation-related measurements in the legs and how you do on walking tests.

NCT06657976Recruiting· Phase 2
Beetroot juice and exercise for PAD

This study tests whether beetroot juice, which contains natural nitrates that help blood vessels relax, combined with exercise, can improve walking ability in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). You might be able to join if you have PAD, can walk without a walker, and are willing to avoid beet products for a while.

NCT04794530Recruiting· Phase 3
Cocoa extract trial for walking problems in blocked leg arteries

This Phase 3 study tests whether cocoa extract (cocoa flavanols) can improve walking ability and circulation in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). It may help people who have PAD-related walking limits and can safely avoid competing cocoa sources and caffeine.

NCT06686121Recruiting· Phase 3
Improving walking after leg artery surgery for PAD

This trial tests whether drinking beetroot juice and doing home-based exercise can improve walking ability after you've had a procedure to open up blocked leg arteries. It's for people who are ready to start a walking program and want to avoid surgery.

NCT03845036Recruiting
Diet and exercise study for leg circulation problems

This study looks at how diet changes and an exercise program may improve walking and leg symptoms in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). You may be eligible if you have a history of claudication (leg pain with walking) and tests or treatment history show PAD.

NCT05465070Recruiting
Heat therapy trial for leg blood-flow problems

This trial studies whether applying heat to your legs can improve symptoms and function in people with peripheral artery disease (reduced blood flow to the legs). You may be tested with a simple blood-flow check and an MRI scan, depending on eligibility.

NCT05712395Recruiting
Pain-free exercise program for people with leg artery disease

This trial tests a new kind of exercise that is meant to be non-ischemic (not reduce blood flow) and pain-free, to see if it helps people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) who get leg pain when walking. You may be eligible if you have PAD confirmed by specific treadmill and blood-pressure measurements and meet the exercise and health safety requirements.
