Who can take part
- You or your child must be at least 1 year old for neuroblastoma, or at least 6 months old for retinoblastoma.
- For neuroblastoma: the cancer must be high-risk and has come back or not gone away after treatment.
- For retinoblastoma: the cancer must have spread beyond the eye (metastatic), and in some cases, you must have already tried a standard chemotherapy regimen.
- You need to have measurable or evaluable disease — meaning doctors can see the cancer on scans or tests.
- Your heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys need to be working well enough to safely receive this treatment.
- You cannot have certain infections like HIV or active hepatitis, or be pregnant or nursing.
- You cannot be on steroids or other immune-suppressing medicines at the time of cell collection or infusion.
