Brain stimulation study for teens with ADHD and memory trouble

This study tests whether changing brain activity can improve working memory in teens who have ADHD and trouble remembering and holding information in mind. You and your parent will answer questionnaires, and brain imaging/brain-stimulation testing (MRI/TMS) may be used, with compensation for each session.

Who can take part

  • You’re a teen age 12 to 18, and a parent can give permission
  • You and your parent can read and speak English well enough to complete study steps
  • You have ADHD (inattentive, hyperactive/impulsive, combined, or unspecified type)
  • Your parent rates your working memory as much worse than expected on the BRIEF-2 (over 1.0 standard deviation)
  • Your IQ is above 80
  • You should be medically able to safely do MRI/TMS (no certain implants or seizure-related risks)
