Who can take part
- Be 21 to 60 years old
- Have a planned (elective) knee replacement on one side only
- Be an ASA I or ASA II health status (generally healthy or mild health issues)
- Have a BMI under 40
- Able to give informed consent and be scheduled for spinal anesthesia
- Not have listed medical exclusions (allergy, bleeding/clotting issues, certain heart/lung/kidney/liver problems, etc.)
