Knee numbing injections during knee replacement surgery

Who can take part

  • Be 21 to 60 years old
  • Have a planned (elective) knee replacement on one side only
  • Be an ASA I or ASA II health status (generally healthy or mild health issues)
  • Have a BMI under 40
  • Able to give informed consent and be scheduled for spinal anesthesia
  • Not have listed medical exclusions (allergy, bleeding/clotting issues, certain heart/lung/kidney/liver problems, etc.)
