- Your child has a new diagnosis of T-cell (T-lineage) lymphoblastic lymphoma
- The lymphoma stage is II, III, or IV
- Your child has not had any previous chemotherapy that kills cancer cells

- Your child has not taken steroid medicine for too many days right before starting treatment
