Brain stimulation plus cognitive training for depression after mild head injury

Who can take part

  • You’re 18 to 65, and you’re able to participate as a civilian at UCSD or as a service member at NMCSD
  • You had a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) more than 3 months ago
  • You currently have a depressive episode (major depression) with moderate-to-severe symptoms
  • Your depression treatment medicines have been stable for at least 6 weeks and won’t change during the study
  • You can safely get brain stimulation (TMS) and have MRI scans, based on safety screen questions
  • You can follow the schedule, complete assessments in English, and provide your own consent
