Who can take part

  • Be 18–55 years old when you sign consent
  • Have current or past U.S. military service and be able to get care at a Military Treatment Facility or VA hospital
  • Have a history of mild traumatic brain injury (a concussion) more than 6 months ago and less than 26 years ago
  • Have depression symptoms that score above a certain level on the MADRS screening test
  • Be willing to keep the same depression medicines for 6 weeks and the same behavioral therapy plan for 12 weeks before starting
  • Be able to undergo an MRI and related procedures safely (and be able to complete the study schedule)
