Who can take part

  • You have malignant glioma that is WHO grade 4 (like glioblastoma or astrocytoma), confirmed by recent biopsy or surgery
  • You are 18 years or older and able to give informed consent
  • Your overall ability to do daily activities is moderate to strong (Karnofsky score 60–100)
  • Your kidney function and blood counts meet study lab thresholds (platelets ≥ 100,000 and GFR ≥ 25)
  • You are planning to start radiation and chemotherapy as part of your treatment
  • You have not had a DVT, pulmonary embolism, or cerebral vein clot in the last 6 months
