Who can take part
- You have primary ITP (ITP caused by your immune system), not secondary ITP from another disease
- You are starting first-time (first-line) ITP treatment, based on ITP guidelines
- If you started urgent treatment for dangerous bleeding already, they must collect samples within 24 hours
- You are 18 years or older
- You can sign a consent form to join the study
- Not sure/important to note: people with “triple positive” antiphospholipid antibodies are not eligible
