Who can take part
- You’re between 18 and 70 years old.
- You have confirmed stomach adenocarcinoma that is locally advanced and meets specific staging features (Borrmann type III/IV and bulky lymph nodes).
- You have tumors that can be measured on CT or MRI scans.
- Your general health score (ECOG) is 0 or 1, meaning you’re able to do most daily activities.
- You have not had prior stomach cancer surgery or prior anti-cancer chemo, radiation, or immunotherapy.
- On scans and pre-treatment endoscopy, there’s no sign of stomach cancer spread to the lining of the belly (peritoneal metastasis), and no cancer cells in washed-out stomach fluid.
- If you can become pregnant, a pregnancy test must be negative shortly before starting treatment, and you must meet the trial’s criteria to avoid pregnancy during the study.
