Who can take part
- Diagnosed with adenocarcinoma (a common type of cancer) of the stomach or the junction where the esophagus meets the stomach
- Cancer is stage II–IVa and can be completely removed by surgery (R0 resection)
- Good overall health with minimal activity limitations (ECOG score 0 or 1)
- Expected to live at least 6 months
- No active bleeding, severe bowel obstruction, or recent bowel perforation
- Able to swallow pills and absorb medication normally
