Who can take part

  • You have ongoing signs or symptoms of heart failure (you feel short of breath, tired, or have swelling).
  • Your heart’s pumping strength is preserved, meaning ejection fraction is 50% or higher.
  • Your doctor has evidence your heart has trouble relaxing (diastolic dysfunction).
  • You have high blood pressure (systolic > 140 and/or diastolic > 90) and are already on at least 2 blood-pressure medicines for at least 6 months with stable doses.
  • Your blood pressure is reasonably controlled on a 24-hour monitor (less than 140/90).
  • Your kidneys are strong enough (eGFR 30 or higher) and your body’s blood-vessel anatomy allows the procedure.
